What Public Liability Insurance will cover

Compensation claims leading from an incident whereby a third party has suffered injury or property damage, at your business premises or a customer’s premises.

Repairing damage caused as a consequence of your work. But not damage to the piece of work you were working on.

Medical expenses.

Legal expenses such as Court and Solicitor’s costs.

Other expenses due to the incident that are deemed as reasonable.

It won’t however cover you for deliberate acts that cause damage.

Policy covers are available from, £1m, £2m, £5m and £10m, with higher amounts also available upon request. If your business regularly interacts with customers, especially in a physical sense, for example not online, then having PL cover in place should be essential.
