How our hospitality price match works

  1. This offer applies only to customers purchasing a single annual business insurance policy while operating a hospitality based business in any of the following trades: Sandwich bar, cafe, cookery school, deli, tea room, juice and/or smoothie bar, bed & breakfast, restaurant, takeaway, Guest house, hotel, wine bar, public house, fish and chip shop.
  2. The offer starts on the 1st September 2018.
  3. The Insurance Octopus guarantees to match the price you paid last year for your business insurance subject to the following criteria:
    1. Your current business policy must be due to renew from the 1st September 2018.
    2. The policy must be on a like-for-like basis and you must be able to provide evidence of your renewal including your businesses details, covers taken out and levels of cover.
    3. Your business must have been operating in your particular industry for a minimum of 3 years.
    4. Your business must have no history of prior claims.
    5. The offer applies only to the original renewal price offered by your current insurer, and excludes any price discounts, offers or negotiated rates offered after the original renewal.

How to Claim

  1. To claim under this offer, you must provide us with a copy of your previous insurance documents including the policy schedule. Further information may be required.
  2. If you fail to provide adequate documentation or where the documentation does not meet the qualifying criteria, you will not be able to claim under this offer.

Other Terms

  1. This offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer.
  2. We reserve the right to vary or withdraw this offer at any time.
  3. The Insurance Octopus reserves the right to refuse your claim at any time we suspect:
    1. Any abuse or attempted abuse of the offer
    2. Any breach or attempted breach of these terms
    3. Any breach or attempted breach of the general use of The Insurance Octopus website terms and conditions
    4. Any activity which in our reasonable opinion constitute misuse or fraudulent activity towards the offer
